General Information
The Academy
also provides a positive, inspirational, and artistically
nurturing environment for each child as well. Prayers and scripture
readings are a integral part of our curriculum. We believe
that without the Word of God, the dance has no power, no place,
no meaning to us.
CDA disciplines
and trains each student to know and understand the language
of dance which will help prepare and give them
the confidence they'll need should they choose to pursue future
dance endevours.
Our key
Scriptures is "I can do all things through Christ
which strengtheneth me". We inspire our students to know
and feel that Praising God through Dance is the moste natural
and beautiful avenue of giving thanks to Him and to His beloved
son, Jesus Christ.
Philosophy: The purpose of the Christian Dance Academy is to provide
an educational dance ministry for every enrolled
student, enhance their dance potential to the fullest, and
keep them always focussed on the love of Jesus Christ.
Curriculum: The Curriculum of Christian Dance Academy is based on the
artistic methodolgies of Directors Bolton and Smith.
Each class is carefully planned with emphasis on technical
structure. The professional training they receive, contributes
to a healthy and spiritual environment where each child's inherent
love of learning is encouraged and motivated.
Policies & Procedures Attendance
and Tardiness: Regular attendance is essential if continuity
in your child's dance process is to take place.
Irregular attendnace may throw a student behind in his/her
class and could possibly inhibit developmental dance skills
as a result. Students are expected to arrive on time to maximize
their opportunities for learning. Tardiness can be disruptive
to the instructor, and distractive to the students.
Snow
Days: CDA follows both P.G. County and D.C. Public School closings.
When snowy, icy, bad winter weather conditions exist,
please call our Office for recorded information/instructions
before bringing your child to class.
